
Pinhook Collaboration Series 2024
For Collaboration Series Edition No. 3, Sean Josephs, co-founder and master blender of Pinhook, chose to work with Jordan Salcito, an internationally renowned sommelier with a storied career in the wine world and at leading restaurants including Restaurant Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, and Momofuku where her wine list was named the âMost Original Wine List in the Worldâ by World of Fine Wine Magazine. In 2016, she founded Drink RAMONA, a family of award-winning Italian spritzes.
Further blending the wine and whiskey worlds, Josephs sourced liquid from Australiaâs Starward Whisky. Starward is known for aging its whiskey in red wine barrels and in Melbourne, Australiaâs notoriously wild climate. Blended from 28 barrels of Starward single malt aged four to five years, the result is a 114.8 proof (57.4% ABV) Australian Single Malt Whisky with âa nose of poached pear, vanilla curd, cardamom, and light cedar that leads to a luxurious palate of raspberries, wild honey, clove, and graham cracker.â
